Let’s face it – it’s hard enough to get to the dentist. Low-income
families should not face additional barriers to accessing dental care
for their children. There is no cost to families for our services.
What Your Money Can Do
Did you know that 83% of every dollar that comes in our door goes
directly to the kids we serve? (The rest is used to run a frugal operation,
communicate with our community, build partnerships, and find more
people like you!)
Gifts of All Sizes Are Needed!
$10.50 will provide a family of 4 with a set of
toothbrushes, toothpaste and dental floss to help reinforce the
tooth decay prevention message learned aboard the Molar Express
Minnesota vehicle
$85 will pay for a site partner publicity kit, including
parent information, posters, magnets and flyers
$138 will set up a child with a diagnostic appointment,
including x-rays, dental exam, teeth cleaning and a tooth decay
prevention kit
$144 will fuel our vehicle for one week
$383 will ensure each child leaves Molar Express Minnesota
cavity-free and healthy, ready to tackle the world
$1,200 will provide training and development for staff
– essential in this evolving world
$4,400 will pay for the required vehicle insurance for
one year

Other Ways to Give
Gifts Made in Honor
Give a gift to honor someone close to you for a birthday, an anniversary,
a wedding, a graduation, a retirement, the birth of a baby, or other
special occasion. Molar Express Minnesota will send a card acknowledging
your thoughtful donation to the person of your choice.
Get Well Gift
Make a contribution to let someone know you are wishing them a speedy
recovery. Molar Express Minnesota will send a get well card acknowledging
your thoughtful donation to the person of your choice.
Donation in Memory of a Loved One
A gift to Molar Express Minnesota in memory of a special person will
help us provide dental care to low-income children while giving you
a unique opportunity to commemorate the loss of a loved one. Your
thoughtfulness will be acknowledged immediately to the person or family
you are remembering.
Children’s Birthday Celebrations
Many families struggle with teaching their children about philanthropy
and caring for others. A perfect way to teach a child to help another
child is to suggest that they ask for contributions from their guests
to Molar Express Minnesota. And you won’t have any broken toys or
garbage to throw out later!
Product Donations
Molar Express Minnesota welcomes gifts of new
toothbrushes, toothpaste, and dental floss. We also accept gifts of
new stuffed animals, fleece blankets, and
children’s books that will be used to comfort and reward children
who are undergoing lengthy dental procedures. You may also make a
cash donation that will allow us to purchase some of the most-needed
supplies, at a volume discount.
Have a Party!
Getting a group of friends, family members or coworkers together for
drinks, Thanksgiving, or other celebrations? Everyone wants to help,
but who’s got the time? Invite people to bring donations of new toothbrushes,
toothpaste or dental floss and have a door prize raffle for the people
who make a donation. Better yet, make it easy for your guests to contribute
by collecting their financial gifts and sending them in together.
Stock Donations
Molar Express Minnesota gladly accepts gifts of stock. When you donate
a security that has gone up in value since its purchase, not only
will you help low-income children receive dental care, but you will
also receive tax benefits:
- You receive a charitable income tax deduction equal to the fair
market value of the securities if they have been held longer than
one year
- You avoid capital gains tax

Matching Gifts
Many companies offer a matching gift program that could increase your
contribution. Contact your human resources department to determine
if Molar Express Minnesota qualifies for a company matched gift. Many
companies will match retirees’ contributions as well. Use this opportunity

United Way Designation and Other Work-Place Giving Campaigns
You can help low-income children receive much needed dental care by
participating in the United Way annual appeal. Simply note “Molar
Express Minnesota” in the space provided. A check will be mailed to
us following the campaign. While your gift can stay anonymous, we
would appreciate you advising us of your name/address so that we can
thank you personally.
